Like every other school, Mount Si holds assemblies. From 'Resect & Unity' to 'Spirit Assembly', when the school wants or needs an assembly, they turn to us. I've helped run several every assembly that we have had this year. From simply setting up a projector, to managing video feed, this year I have learned to coordinate and run most aspects of a standard school assembly. This has been a very enlightening experience. It has taken me behind the scenes and given me a brand new appreciation for the people who plan and produce public events. there was even a point in which I was given the task of manning a camera whose video was to be live streamed on a big screen. It was rather nerve wrecking, but gave me the chance to get used to working fast, and smart under pressure. I hope to form a part of Mount Si's assembly team for the rest of my high school experience, and expect myself to become experienced enough to be able to train new members of the assembly on how to plan, create, and run the assemblies that are held at our school.
