8 months, 20 days, and 1 new school year.
That's how long it has been since my last post. A lot has happened since then. Boogerman is just waiting approval and rights to music. Several new ideas and scripts have been completed. A lot of plans have been made for the future. Really, all has changed. I'm unhappy, however, to say that I didn't accomplish as much as I'd hoped over the past year. I feel that we need to work on things faster and more productively. But not all is bad, things have gotten better. 1. We have a new camera--the XA10 2. We got a few more lenses for our T3i 3. I'm story boarding a music video I expect that this year will be a lot more productive and bring about many more ideas and finished projects. I also expect this to be my last year running the technical aspects of assemblies. I'm just hoping all of this happens. CROSSING MY FINGERS!!!

Long time no post!
I've been having great days in terms of film making. I started the filming of the Boogerman short film with Helzerman, and began work on a personal project for Bellevue Botanical Gardens. I've been busy not only with big projects, but even simply going out and taking pictures and video that could be used as my personal collection of stock footage/photos. Over all, mid winter break was extremely productive and I don't plan on slowing down any time soon. I also took part in filming a play at Amazing Grace Middle School which was something rather entertaining. It was a very interesting production and was definitely worth going to. Something interesting that I've recently started working on is the Water Gangsters film/series. This was something proposed by a friend of mine who didn't really have high hopes for the idea. After going through and changing some details and outlining the basic story line, both him and I were ecstatic. I will post our brainstorms and outlines shortly and hope for some feedback. Plans for the near future: -Film second scene of Boogerman film -Edit footage for Bellevue Botanical -Edit pictures in Photoshop(From Bellvue Botanical and Personal takes) -Work on Water Gangsters film So the semester ended just a little while back, and while I'm not happy to say that I didn't get as much of the work that I wanted to get done, I am proud to say that all my projects are moving right along. We have decided to split the "Untitled Action Movie" into episode, so the scripts, story boards, and videos will go into a lot more detail. The Boogerman phase of pre-production is done and we are now focusing on gathering props and casting actors and actresses. ALSO my good friend, and brilliant thinker, Josh Helzerman has come up with a few good ideas that I don't want to reveal just yet. What I will say is that if the Boogerman video sound like it's going to be EPIC, then our next few ideas are going to be EPIC TO THE MAX.
So our class just got a new T3i and we are splitting up into groups setting it up. Just making sure that we know how to use it, and hopefully get as good with that as with the predecessor, the T2i. I am relatively good with the T2i, to the point where I could shoot the entirety of the Boogerman video on my own (provided with actors) with no trouble. Hopefully there aren't too many major differences other than the flip out screen.
So this morning we were asked to set up a Canon Rebel T2i which was going to be used to interview some seniors participating in sports. We set up an audio adapter, hooked up a lavalier microphone and change the gain settings to get perfect audio. We set the white balance to our specifications, focused the camera, zoomed to a certain level. It was, all-in-all, a great way to get those settings drilled into our heads. We are now working toward decreasing the amount of time that it takes us to do all those things. I know, sounds boring. Don't you judge me!
So I was supposed to do a promotional video for Bellevue Botanical but the one who had offered me the job called and said that unfortunately all the plants had been cut so now we have to wait until the spring when they grow out again. I was really looking forward to working on this, so I'm kind of disappointed
I resumed work on my script, however I'm stumped on a scene that is essentially the catalyst moment of the film. In other words this is the part of the movie when the character(s) gets some sort of message that lets him/her know what she has to do, their job, the plot of the movie.
So Helzerman just told me about another idea that he had last night. While it is a great idea it also means another project to be working on, and we already have 3 to finish besides this one. Thanks, Helzee, but let's finish one project before we start another. Okay? Okay.
I have a serious problem here. As you probably already noticed my 'Home' page is in serious need of a picture. The problem here is that Adobe isn't letting me download Photoshop, and, frankly, MS Paint is just not going to cut it. This is really bugging me...
This may sound entirely useless but it's making me crazy. I edited the HTML and everything enough that it looks pretty boss. But after I made the code for the second background my page has a white space at the bottom. Or at least the ones that aren't big enough to fill an entire page. My Home page, for example had a giant blank bar that took up half the screen. So far the only way I found to fix that is to place a paragraph box and hit the 'Enter' key repeatedly. If anyone can help my with this, it'd be great.
Thanks! [: Yeah... I did it with this one, too... -.- |
